Albany Residence Bath and Built-Ins
A compact residence project with a concrete-and-maple vanity, built-in storage, and small-room details resolved as fitted pieces rather than stock parts.
The decision
Give the small bath one built piece instead of a stock vanity.
The powder room needed a small vanity, but not much storage and not another ordinary cabinet. The solution was a compact wall-hung piece cast in white cement and sealed so it could handle the room.
An ambrosia-maple inset door hides the plumbing, a small post quietly carries the weight, and a custom tile vent keeps the floor detail from turning into a distraction.
