About

One person, from the drawing to the last fastener.

I'm Jamie Gagne. Design, carpentry, fabrication, lighting, and the technical detailing — handled by the same person start to finish.

Who you're working with

I'm Jamie.

I've been building since I was a kid, put up my own house at 21, and spent a decade in commercial construction and another in residential: framing, finish, estimating, and running the jobs.

Architecture is functional art, or at least I treat it like one. I care how a piece looks, how it comes together, and how it holds up over time. But I won't promise you a brilliant design on the first try. Good design takes a few rounds to find, and I'd rather find it with you, on screen, than guess and hope.

What I can promise is that you'll know what you're getting before I build it. I can draw it honestly because I know what the material will do, what the code allows, and what the structure needs — so the picture isn't a wish, it's a plan I already know how to build.

That knowledge matters most when the work is specific. A concealed LED strip needs a wire path and a power supply. A stairwell repair needs matching profiles and stain samples. A bath detail needs tile, glass, plumbing, insulation, and blocking to all agree before anything closes up.

Oakridge Studio is one person. That's the point: nothing gets lost between the detail on paper and the room it lands in.

Send a few photos, whatever drawings and measurements you have, and a note on what isn't working. I'll tell you straight whether it's the kind of thing I take on — and if it's not, usually who does.
