Custom float rooms, waterproof tank entries, acoustic assemblies, storefront details, reception pieces, and built lighting across several locations.

Water, sound, light, and service access, solved in the same rooms.

The float center work started with a practical problem: create functioning sensory deprivation rooms without relying on standard commercial tank systems. The projects grew into a series of custom build-outs where water, sound, light, service access, and customer-facing identity all had to be resolved together.

Across the locations, the work included float tanks, showers, waterproof doors, filtration support, sound-isolated rooms, charred wood storefronts, custom lights, retail shelving, reception pieces, and room-entry details.

Float Rooms

Put shower, tank entry, waterproofing, and atmosphere in one sequence.

Float rooms are not normal treatment rooms. A user has to shower before and after the session, enter a dark tank or tank room, and move through a wet threshold without the space feeling purely mechanical.

The early float-room images show the relationship between tile, shower, waterproof tank entry, and the controlled interior atmosphere that makes the room work.

Problem
The shower and tank entry needed to function as one wet, durable, low-distraction sequence.
Move
Build the threshold around tile, waterproof surfaces, and direct access to the float chamber.
Result
A float-room entry that connects use, cleaning, and atmosphere instead of treating them as separate problems.

Hidden Assemblies

Build for water, sound, service access, and maintenance.

The visible finishes only work if the hidden assemblies are handled first. Float rooms demand waterproofing, mechanical access, sound control, electrical coordination, and durable service routes.

The rougher images matter because they show the custom work behind the calmer finished spaces: framing, brackets, sealed electrical boxes, and the kinds of small decisions that keep the room usable after opening day.

Problem
Waterproof rooms and sound-isolated spaces leave very little tolerance for casual assembly.
Move
Coordinate framing, brackets, sealed penetrations, and service access before finishes go on.
Result
Finished rooms that can stay quiet, wet, accessible, and maintainable.

Zephyr

Give the public-facing work the same level of fabrication.

The Zephyr storefront and interior details shifted the work from pure float-room function to public identity. The exterior needed a strong entry inside an existing brick facade, while the interior used timber, rope, shelving, and custom light fixtures to make the space feel built rather than decorated.

These pieces are still practical. They organize threshold, display, wayfinding, and atmosphere while carrying the material language of the build-out.

Problem
The front-of-house spaces needed identity without becoming a separate design language.
Move
Use charred wood, timber, rope, shelves, and built lighting as functional parts of the space.
Result
A storefront and interior sequence that feels custom from the street through the lobby.

Later Details

Keep experimenting with threshold, light, and service details.

The later images show the language continuing to evolve: conduit lighting, live-edge reception pieces, custom plumbing, heavy room-entry doors, slatted portals, and small sculptural light fixtures.

The common thread is not a single style. It is the willingness to build the piece needed for the room, even when that means solving structure, service, lighting, and atmosphere in the same object.

Problem
Later locations had smaller footprints, harder acoustics, and more public-facing detail packed into fewer square feet.
Move
Use built thresholds, exposed service routes, custom lighting, and compact reception pieces as part of the architecture.
Result
Each location keeps the float-center function visible enough to be legible and refined enough to feel intentional.

The float center projects were not just interiors with a theme. They were custom rooms where water, sound, lighting, access, and identity all had to be built into the same assemblies.
